Cold shoulder

Looking back, it is now clear to me what was not clear at the time; my shoulder screamed in pain but I paid no attention. Pain after a particularly intense swim or grueling workout had become the norm. but I overlooked the unusual pain I felt in my shoulder joints. I stopped using them; I abused them.

Roadside

As the pain worsened, I sought guidance from friends, family, and coaches. The advice came like snow during January in Washington. I chose immediate relief over gradual improvement. I chose medication over physical therapy for my shoulders and couldn't be happier. At least for a few months.

The pain not only subsided but disappeared. I have thrilled with the results and continued to exercise with renewed vigor. Bolstered by the disappearance of the pain, I pulled harder than ever before. , though, my shoulders pushed back.

My pain may have gone away, but it hasn't. The drugs masked it and the drugs dulled it. When he reached a tipping point, he broke through that chemical face.

The pain returned with a vengeance. It became exhausting and excruciating. It was persistent; always there as my own shadow. I sought advice again and I have told that the only option was to seek physical therapy for the shoulder pain.
