The best efforts fail because the steering points in a different direction than the captain wishes. Whether we realize it or not, there is a force beyond our control that plays an equal role. something tends to stop us in our tracks if it is not the path we to meant to travel.

Even if the planet on which life depends is in danger, there is nothing we can do to stop it. Globally, humans to driven by a superpower that defies reason. when it comes to its destruction.

Plastic is flooding our oceans and killing the life in them. yet people can't stop buying goods encased in them. Climate change is devastating communities. and yet we are doing nothing to stop deforestation.  We are dead on the road to extinction.

It is doubtful that most ever even question the reason why this is so.

Why are beautiful animals killed when their habitats to remove so that humans can grow crops? and expand their numbers to unsustainable levels?

Do those in charge care that what they are doing is leading to our demise?

The short answer is no because, like those before them, they see only money as valuable.

Wealth creation overtakes the senses. Greed to have more rules over those who take from the environment to improve their situation. Why logic can tell them to stop their turn signal drives them on. They can't stop because there are too many other things at play.

While they may play the role of captain of the ship of life, there is a much greater force that steers it. To recognize this power. we only need to look at the prophecies to the left to us as warnings from thousands of years ago.

With a strong memory of reincarnation. I know that the real power behind everything is the Great Spirit of the Universe. It put up barriers to keep the majority from knowing about it. A giant wall of confusion. and misguided religious beliefs and enforcement ensured that they would stay.

Not until those who connect to the Spirit and have the knowledge to the contrary can to remove. In the meantime, we continue on the path to destruction that to laid out from the beginning. That is the rudder that guides us and our path to that day is approaching the end.
